This Easter, a King Cake Bundt and Community Coffee go hand-in-hand! Seriously, a cup of coffee in one hand and a slice of cake in the other and you’ll be a happy camper.
We created a cake that will remind you of the NOLA favorite; however, if you have nut allergies in your home like we do, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find this nut-free version. Enjoying a cup of King Cake Community Coffee with a slice and you’ll feel like you’re sitting down on Bourbon Street!
Community Coffee = Togetherness
For over 95 years, Community Coffee has been providing patrons with the best-tasting coffee, roasting with superior methods, and served at the peak of freshness and flavor. Inspiration for creating a better product each and every day is found in their community — the people they work with, the customers they serve, and the connections they have built.
I wouldn’t even begin to know how to harvest the perfect beans, the brewing process, or the technique for blending a delicious flavor. Thankfully, I can refer to the experts!
The King is Back! Mardi Gras King Cake Coffee
If you’ve sunk your teeth into a King Cake before, you know that the cake (well, it’s technically a bread but with the sweet icing, we’re going to call it a cake!) is highlighted with flavors of cinnamon and vanilla. Because we are an on-the-go kind of family during the Spring, my oldest son and I like to have pods that we can pop in the Keurig and be out the door in just a few minutes.
The Mardi Gras King Cake blend is made with 100% select Arabica coffee beans. The roast is on a lighter side – meaning you’re getting more caffeine and a stronger flavor. It’s one step down from a full body and mid-level brightness. I like to dress my coffee up with sugar and creamer; however, the fragrance of this cup brewing made me want to try it straight. I’m not quite that advanced for a coffee drinker; however, the flavor was very appealing!
As a limited time flavor, you’re going to want to stock up on a supply to hold you over through next year! The 12 pack of pods averages $8.49 per box. While I highly recommend making a cake to accompany the coffee, you can get your coffee fix with the Mardis Gras King Cake flavor!
