Stopping for extra treats isn’t always an option, but with this easy dessert recipe, you can enjoy them at home any time! I encourage to make this a full family event and get the kids into the kitchen to help make this treat.

When popular eateries announce their fun summer treats, I can’t help but be inspired to recreate my own version. This version is ready in about 15 minutes from start to finish and requires ingredients that are readily available at your local grocery store.

Not a fan of chocolate? Swap the chocolate ice cream for vanilla and use the Golden Oreos instead. This recipe is extremely versatile and ingredients can be swapped out for an assortment of flavors to make it all your own.

Ingredients to Make Dirt Cake Ice Cream Frozen Treats:

  • Chocolate Ice Cream
  • Gummy Worms
  • Oreo Cookies
  • Milk

How to Make Dirt Cake Ice Cream Frozen Treats:

Put the Oreo cookies in a large bowl or baggie. Using a meat hammer, gently break the cookies into pieces.

Place crumbled Oreos and six scoops chocolate ice cream into a blender. Blend well.

If the ice cream is too thick add a small amount of milk. The ice cream I used is not you just have work it with a spoon in the blender to get all the Oreos blended well.

Pour into a glass and top with two Oreos and gummy worms.

  • 6 scoops chocolate ice cream
  • 3 gummy worms
  • 6 Oreo cookies (gluten free if you want)
  • ¼ cup milk (this is only needed if your ice cream is too thick)

Instructions

    Put the Oreo cookies in a large bowl or baggie. Using a meat hammer, gently break the cookies into pieces.

You can also layer in chunks of fudge if you would like the treat to resemble Dairy Queen's version.
