This super easy and versatile Instant Pot® Cinnamon Pear Applesauce recipe tastes even better after a day or two.
This homemade applesauce will easily blow any store-bought applesauce out of the water! You can immediately enjoy it or let it get nice and cold to enjoy with our Cocoa-Spiced Pot Roast and Rosemary Garlic Mashed Potatoes!

My boys don’t take their lunch to school as often as they did in elementary school (because high school!); but they do love to find this in the fridge for an after-school snack! It’s also become a favorite go-to dish when they need that extra boost after supper.
After enjoying a bowl of this applesauce, we won’t go back to store-bought. The flavors and texture simply can’t be beat.
Tools You’ll Need to Make Cinnamon Pear Applesauce
- Instant Pot® – Doesn’t matter which model but I’m using a DUO 80 7-in-1.
- Immersion Blender – If you love smooth and creamy mashed potatoes, this is the tool for the job!
- Apple Corer
Which Apples and Pears are best?
My favorite apple is the Honeycrisp; however, you can use Gala, Fuji, or Ambrosia and still achieve the same sweetness. I have also made this with Granny Smith apples and my youngest son enjoyed the extra tartness.
Our local stores don’t carry a big variety of pears so I grab the Bartlett pears for this recipe.
