Easter has always been one of my favorite times of the year – especially for candy! Along with Cadbury Mini Eggs, Peeps are a very close second to being my top candies. I’m not sure if it’s more the taste or the bright, cheery colors. Either way, I love them!

A recipe for No Churn Ice Cream always grabs my attention because it’s smooth, fresh, and doesn’t have ice crystals inside like you’ll often find in store-bought containers. Using a few simple ingredients including heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and your favorite flavoring, you can create an endless amount of options the entire family can enjoy.

Using peeps and gel food coloring, this recipe is cheerful and fun for any Easter celebration.

Quick Glance at Ingredients to Make Peeps Easter Ice Cream:

  • 1 quart (32 oz.) heavy whipping cream
  • 1 – 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 drop yellow food gel
  • 1 drop pink food gel
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla (or other flavoring)
  • 4 blue peeps bunnies
  • 4 pink peeps bunnies
  • 4 yellow peeps bunnies

How to Make Peeps Easter Ice Cream:

Prepare to make your ice cream by placing the stand mixer bowl and loaf pan in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.

In a stand mixer with whisk attachment, pour in heavy whipping cream and whip on low speed moving the speed up every five minutes until it resembles whipped topping consistency.

Separate about one cup of heavy whipping cream into one bowl for yellow and another one cup in a second bowl for pink. Drop the food gel into each and stir well.

Add the sweetened condensed milk to the remaining whipped heavy cream. Fold in the sweetened condensed milk. Pour into an 8″ x 8″ loaf pan.

Drop pink into different places and lightly swirl. Drop yellow into different places and lightly swirl.

Cut up the peeps bunnies and drop them all over into the mixture. I press some down and others I leave right on top.

Cover with a layer of plastic wrap and then foil. Freeze overnight. Once it has been in the freezer for 24 hours, the ice cream is ready to scoop and serve. When you scoop, you’ll fall in love with the festive colors created!

Note: For flavoring you may use vanilla, mint, apple, cotton candy – whatever you like!
