Sparkling Blueberry Maple Lemonade – The New Summer Standard for Drinks!
Summer always calls for at least one big pitcher of lemonade. It’s refreshing, sweet, and tangy. But what if you could upgrade your lemonade and have a completely new drink? This is the perfect blend to try!
Locally, we have several options for picking fresh blueberries and our family always takes advantage of it. We enjoy some right away while others are frozen to eat later. Our summers are quite warm so baking is postponed until it cools down. Drinks are the perfect recipe to mix up and stay cool!
Blueberry Lemonade recipes are a dime a dozen. But adding a bit of local honey and pure maple syrup will make your drinks sparkle! Each sip is delightfully fruity and sweet without adding refined sugar. I love mine a little more tart so I always add a wedge or two of fresh lemon to my glass.
Using the recipe as-is, it’s kid-friendly! If you want to make an adult version, replace some of the water with your favorite vodka. It can be plain or opt for a flavored mix. Either way, it’s the perfect way to cool down on a hot summer day!

Ingredients to Make Sparkling Blueberry Maple Lemonade:
- Blueberries
- Fresh mint
- Real maple syrup
- Honey
- Water
- Fresh lemon juice
- Club soda
- Ice cubes
- Mint sprigs
- Lemon wedges
How to Make Sparkling Blueberry Maple Lemonade:
To prepare the blueberry maple simple syrup, combine the blueberries, mint, maple syrup, honey, and one quarter cup water in a small saucepan set over medium heat.
Simmer until the mixture is heated through and starts to thicken, approximately 4-5 minutes. As the mixture simmers, gently press the blueberries with a wooden spoon to release juices while stirring to combine with the other ingredients.
Remove from heat and pour through a fine mesh strainer to separate the solids. Reserve remaining liquid syrup and set aside to cool.
Add lemon juice and remaining water to a large pitcher. Add blueberry maple simple syrup, to taste, and stir to combine.
Fill 4 glasses with ice and fill each 2/3 full with the blueberry lemonade mixture. Top off each glass with some club soda and garnish with sprigs of fresh mint, blueberries, and/or lemon wedges, if desired. Enjoy!
