What’s Your Secret Power? Discover Your Hidden Talents

You are not a superhero. But you’ve probably found yourself watching the latest Marvel, and other comics-inspired movies on TV with a bowl of freshly made popcorn wondering what you would do if you had superpowers. Most people want to fly, as the dream of flying is as old as humanity itself. But when you begin to think about it, you discover new angles you could explore.

The Umbrella Academy, which was released by Netflix – not part of the Marvel universe but still showing some good superheroes’ moves –, depicts impressive skills. Who wouldn’t love to spread rumors like Allison Hargreeves? You could convince your banker that you’ve become immensely rich, or you could get to meet your favorite stars without even making a fuss. Her ability to manipulate reality is a dream power!

However, superpowers don’t exist. But what you may not know is that you have a lot of hidden powers you’re not using right now. You’re not at the end of your journey. If you were to embrace the path of self-growth, you could unlock some of your secret abilities.

Express your creativity

Be prepared: You might fail at first

You never stop growing and learning more about you. As a result, you might realize that you want to learn this or that, or replace some of your habits for healthier ones. It’s a natural part of your self-improvement journey. But remember, unlocking new or unknown abilities takes time. You’re unlikely to succeed at first, and it’s normal. Don’t be too harsh on yourself. You’re at the beginning of a journey. Mistakes and failures will happen. While you’re free to criticize yourself, do it constructively. Criticize to discover what needs to be improved to create the change you want, not to perpetuate self-doubts and self-loathing.

Design the best plan for you

The truth is that you can’t wake up one morning having mysteriously gained a new skill overnight. Your secret power is to discover that you want to learn a new skill. Everything you can do is acquired through training and learning. For instance, if you’re going to play a musical instrument quickly, you might be tempted to research the best strategy to learn how to play the piano in 21 days. Are you someone who prefers traditional lessons with a teacher or do you want to teach yourself? Figuring out what works for you, helps you to acquire the skills you want.

Don’t learn, tap into your unconscious mind

Self-growth is the combination of your experience, the skills you learn, and the thinking patterns you develop. Your experience grows with you every day. Finding the best learning method helps you to build your skills. And tapping into your unconscious mind can let make connections and process information quicker than anything else. As you do, you develop your creativity, and therefore the patterns you see in the world around you. Being more creative allows you to express yourself through a variety of activities and better understand your place in the world.

In the end, your superpower is to become the best version of yourself, by keeping on learning as much as you can and uncovering your creative mind. It may not be Marvel material, but self-growth is the ultimate character journey, for superheroes and super mommies alike.
